INTERIORS
Since 1996, the collection has functioned as a foundation. Following the founder’s passing in 1998, our primary responsibility has been to maintain the artist’s initial design vision—a vision developed gradually over many years through carefully crafted interiors and a striking sequence of exhibits. Alongside the permanent display, the foundation hosts significant temporary exhibitions featuring works from major Hungarian art institutions and private owners.
KLAPKA HOUSE
Also known as the Klapka House, the protected site of the Bozsó Collection was home to 1848–49 revolutionary general György Klapka while he learned Hungarian as a student in the 1830s. The site began as a massive Baroque residence in 1786 and was later supplemented by an eclectic building facing the next street at the turn of the 20th century. Following mid-20th-century renovations to repair wartime damage, the two wings were integrated in 2013 to create a modern exhibition hub. This facility, developed via EU funding, now hosts the Hanga Clock Collection as a visiting exhibit on its upper level.
