A journey through time exploring the effects and enduring legacy of the 150-year period of Turkish occupation following the defeat at the Battle of Mohács (1526), through the lens of artifacts that illustrate this era.
What linguistic, culinary, and decorative motifs have survived to this day?
Themed guided tour:
of the Bozsó Collection’s ethnographic and applied arts exhibition.
Optional craft activity:
coloring a sticker featuring a Turkish tile pattern
creating a felt picture with a characteristic Turkish motif, the dancing tulip.
Recommended for: 3rd grade and up
The workshop is available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays
Duration: 90 minutes
