Photography is permitted with a valid photo ticket, although the use of flashes, tripods, and selfie sticks is strictly forbidden. Captured images are restricted to private use and cannot be used for commercial reasons. Some temporary exhibits may impose photography restrictions, which will be clearly marked at the location.

About Discounts

To receive discounts, you must present a valid document and photo ID clearly proving your eligibility.

In the case of institutional group visits, please notify the museum of the arrival of the group in advance and provide proof of eligibility for the discount.

The provisions of Government Decree 194/2000. (XI. 24.) on discounts for visitors to museum institutions are in force.

ELIGIBILITY VERIFICATION DOCUMENTS

  • Individuals possessing an EMMI professional membership card, plus members of national public collection professional bodies with over 400 members (such as the Pulszky Society, Hungarian Museum Association, Hungarian Librarians Association, or Hungarian Archivists Association).Staff at member institutions of the Association of Hungarian Rural Museums with a formal employee certificate.
  • Only the original validated ICOM/ICOMOS institutional card is accepted, as a photograph of the card and its sticker does not suffice.
  • Educators in public schools and vocational training programs may confirm their status using a current teacher’s card from the Education Office.
  • Disabled persons and their companions (max. 1 person per person) are entitled to free entry as follows:
  • Individuals with disabilities and one accompanying guest each can enter for free if they present an appropriate document in English.

Payment, Invoicing

Payment is possible on site in cash. Foreign currency is not accepted.

Accepted payment methods include on-site cash in HUF or advance bank transfers. Please let the cashier know if an invoice is necessary before you pay. Invoices are only available from the sales partner at the moment of sale and cannot be issued retroactively. Should you request special opening times, a non-reimbursable 50% down payment of the total cost is required.

When requesting special opening times, a 50% non-refundable deposit must be paid at least three business days prior to the visit. Should the group arrive more than 30 minutes behind schedule, admission will be denied and the payment will be forfeited.

In addition to the wedding couple and the photographer, accompanying guests must purchase an entrance ticket to the exhibition halls. Photography in the courtyard is free during opening hours.

MUSEUM VISIT

The exhibitions can be viewed accompanied by our staff. Please follow the rules when visiting the Collection!

The building prohibits entry with bicycles, scooters, Segways, other vehicles, animals, sharp or cutting instruments, and any objects that could compromise the safety of visitors, staff, the facility’s equipment, or its art collection.
Individuals who are intoxicated, under the influence of drugs, or dressed inappropriately are barred from entering the Museum.
We reserve the right to intervene if someone’s conduct poses a risk to our staff, guests, collections, or facilities.
Kindly store your suitcases, umbrellas, and any bags exceeding 30 × 25 × 15 cm in the cloakroom. Inside the galleries, wearing bags on your back is prohibited; small backpacks should be held at the front or by the handle. Visitors must check all winter coats, garments longer than mid-thigh, and wet outerwear regardless of their size. You may only bring other jackets inside if you are wearing them, as carrying them over your arm or shoulder is not allowed. Furthermore, items such as bottles, food, beverages, toys, or any objects that might pose a risk to the artwork are strictly forbidden.

ARTWORK PROTECTION
Please approach the artworks no closer than 40 centimeters!

Touching the artworks placed indoors and outdoors is prohibited and dangerous. The person causing the damage is financially liable.

CLOAKROOM
The use of the cloakroom is mandatory for security reasons and is free of charge.
Safe deposit boxes are available.

Please leave your luggage, umbrella and bag larger than 30 × 25 × 15 cm in the cloakroom. Bags of any size may not be worn on the back in the exhibition space, small backpacks may only be carried in the front or in the hand. In all cases, please put down winter coats, coats longer than mid-thigh, and wet coats regardless of size. Other coats may only be brought into the exhibitions with the jacket on (over the arm or shoulder is not permitted). In addition to the above, it is forbidden to bring bottles, food, drinks, children’s toys, or anything that could endanger the works of art into the exhibition space.

PHOTOGRAPHY
You can take a photo with a photo ticket. The use of a flash, tripod or selfie stick is prohibited.

These recordings are restricted to private use and cannot be utilized for profit. Certain short-term exhibits might prohibit recording, and such limitations will be displayed on-site.

MOBILE PHONES
Please do not disturb other visitors in the exhibition spaces by talking loudly, turn down your mobile phone and do not use it for conversations.

VISIT WITH CHILDREN
While minors are welcome, observing the established rules is mandatory for personal security and the preservation of the collection. It is required that visitors below 14 remain under adult supervision, with the accompanying guardian being responsible for the child’s physical well-being and respectful conduct within the institution.

Visitors should be mindful of others and follow security personnel’s instructions while viewing the exhibits. To ensure safety, carrying children on your lap, back, or neck is prohibited. Those under two years old must be placed in a front carrier or a stroller, which must be pushed at all times and never carried by hand. The accompanying adult is responsible for the child’s behavior, ensuring they do not harm the displays or misuse the furniture.

SMOKING
Smoking is prohibited throughout the Bozsó Collection, and the use of electronic cigarettes is also prohibited.
