The ethnographic section, which forms the heart of the collection, is situated within the 18th-century wing of the building. This site served as János Bozsó’s initial studio, where he first began his lifelong passion for art collecting by organizing props for his still life paintings. These rooms held his earliest and most cherished acquisitions, many of which reminded him of his youth. Bozsó developed a deep appreciation for the intricate woodcarvings and the functional beauty of ceramics, with every item possessing a unique backstory regarding its procurement. Today, the extensive display showcases a wide variety of pottery from historic Hungarian centers, alongside decorative razor cases, kitchen jars, mangles, and painted prayer boxes.
