It began like this…
János Bozsó’s collecting interests initially focused on ethnographic objects. Once, having found a Biedermeier glass, he regretted leaving it behind, so he looked for a Biedermeier display case. He became a generous, legendary art collector. The ever-expanding collection was enriched with outstanding pieces of European applied art. The collector always thought of spectacular interiors. European faience, porcelain, hard earthenware, sparkling glass, elaborate goldsmith’s treasures, and pewter were all comfortably housed in the company of the Renaissance chest, the richly carved Baroque wardrobe, the inlaid Rococo writing desk, and the graceful display cases
